Career College Raises Money For Survivors
In recent news, InsideToronto.com reports that triOS College, a career college in Toronto has raised more than $3,000 to empower women and transgender survivors of violence. A group of students from the police foundations program at the college came together on Boxing Day to hold a cheque presentation event for the Shape Your Life (SYL) program. The career college held a variety show back in June 2010 in order to raise the money for the local program. The program helps female and transgender survivors of violence empower themselves and gain self-esteem through the sport of boxing.
