The Canadian Education Network (CEN) was established in 1994 with the support of the Canadian Ministry of Industry. Its main mandate is to assist international students in their search for higher education in Canada. Through its close relationships with institutions across the country, CEN has extensive knowledge of the many options available to international students. CEN will assess the student's individual needs and facilitate the application process to the appropriate academic programs. Students can be assured that no matter what their level of education is, there is an institution that meets their needs |

Canadian Education and Training Accreditation Commission The Canadian Education and Training Accreditation Commission (CETAC) enables private career colleges to demonstrate the high level of quality of their institution, programs and services. To be eligible for CETAC accreditation, private colleges must be duly registered and in good standing with the appropriate Provincial or Territorial government agency which regulates private training. Accreditation in CETAC involves completion of Self-Evaluation Responses, on-site reviews by CETAC Reviewers, often accompanied by Government officials, surveys of students, former students, instructors and administrative staff. Once full accreditation is achieved, Annual Reviews are carried out to ensure the college continues to meet the CETAC standards. |

Virtual Trade Show MARKET YOUR EDUCATION AND TRAINING SERVICES ON LINE REGISTER YOUR INSTITUTION WITH TEAM CANADA`S VIRTUAL TRADE SHOW The Virtual Trade Show (VTS) is an innovative application of an old concept. Using leading edge on-line technology, the VTS simulates the various components of a real trade show
This is all accessible at the click of a mouse ! The VTS was originally developed in 1998 by Industry Canada to showcase Canadian companies in the e-commerce field to an international audience. Team Canada Inc. has recently assumed responsibility for the VTS to help Canadian companies and institutions promote themselves in the growing global marketplace. Virtual Trade Shows have been launched in a few select sectors, including education and training. A pilot project was organized in conjunction with the Team Canada mission to Japan in September 1999, which included a seminar dealing with "Education and Technology". The purpose of this trade show was to promote Canadian capabilities in the delivery of education and training services, and to share the content of the seminar presentations. This pilot was very well received. The site is now being expanded, with a view to showcasing Canadian capabilities at international events. To date, there are 120 education and training suppliers registered, including 21 private career colleges. It is to be noted that registration is free of charge. NACC member institutions are encouraged to register, as the advantages of a Virtual Trade Show are numerous. It offers a cost-effective way for career colleges to promote their products and services to potential purchasers and partners around the world. It will be widely used by Industry Canada and the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade to promote Canadian capabilities overseas. The convenience for the trade show visitor is also greatly improved. The VTS is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be revisited as often as the visitor chooses. It provides visitors an opportunity to discover not only what services are available, but to interact with institutions by e-mail to request further information. The Virtual Trade Show is clearly a cost-effective way to do business in the global economy. For further information visit the site at http://vts.ic.gc.ca/education or send an e-mail to Industry Canada at: tweed.christina@ic.gc.ca -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FAITES LA PROMOTION DE VOS SERVICES D'ÉDUCATION ET DE FORMATION EN DIRECT ASSUREZ-VOUS QUE VOTRE INSTITUTION SOIT INSCRITE À LA FOIRE COMMERCIALE VIRTUELLE D'ÉQUIPE CANADA La Foire commerciale virtuelle (FCV) constitue une application novatrice >d'un concept éprouvé.
